Wemsec Compressor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd
The oil-gas separator is a device that separates the crude oil produced from the associated natural gas. The oil-gas separator is placed between the submersible centrifugal pump and the protector to separate the free gas in the well fluid from the well fluid. The liquid is sent to the submersible centrifugal pump, and the gas is released into the annular space of the tubing and casing. Sometimes, the separator is also used for the separation, buffering and metering of oil, gas, water and sediment. From the appearance, there are three types: vertical, horizontal and spherical. The oil-gas separation element is the key component to determine the compressed air quality of the air compressor. The high-quality oil-gas separation element can not only ensure the high efficiency of the compressor, but also ensure the service life of the filter element can reach thousands of hours. The compressed air from the compressor head carries large and small oil droplets. Large oil droplets are easy to separate when passing through the oil-gas separation tank, while small oil droplets (suspended oil particles with a diameter of less than 1um) must be filtered through the micron and glass fiber filter material layers of the oil-gas separation filter element. The mechanism of oil particles being directly intercepted by the filter material through the diffusion of the filter material and inertial collision condensation makes the suspended oil particles in the compressed air quickly condense into large oil droplets. Under the action of gravity, the oil collects at the bottom of the oil separator and returns to the lubricating oil system of the machine head through the inlet of the oil return pipe at the bottom recess, so that the compressor can discharge more pure oil-free compressed air. When the solid particles in the compressed air pass through the oil separator core, they stay in the filter layer, which leads to the increasing differential pressure (resistance) of the oil separator core. As the service time of the oil separator increases, when the differential pressure of the oil separator reaches 0.08 to 0.1Mpa, the filter element must be replaced, otherwise the operating cost (power consumption) of the compressor will increase.
Replacement method of oil-gas separator
1、 Built in model:
1. Shut down the air compressor, close the air compressor outlet, open the drain valve, and confirm that there is no pressure in the system.
2. Disassemble the pipeline above the oil and gas drum and the pipeline from the outlet of the pressure maintaining valve to the cooler.
3. Remove the oil return pipe.
4. Remove the fixing bolts of the cover on the oil and gas tank and remove the upper cover of the tank.
5. Remove the oil-gas separator and replace it with a new one.
6. Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
2、 External model:
Shut down the air compressor, close the air compressor outlet, open the drain valve, and remove the old oil-gas separator and replace it with a new one after confirming that the system has no pressure.
Safe use
1. There is a safety valve on the end cover of the oil separator of the air compressor. When the air pressure in the oil separator reaches 1.1 times of the set value, the safety valve will open automatically to release some air and reduce the air pressure in the oil separator. The method to check the safety valve is to gently pull the air release rod on the safety valve when the compressor is working with full load. If the safety valve can exhaust, it is considered normal.
2. A pressure gauge is installed on the oil separator to detect the pre filter pressure. The bottom of the oil separator is equipped with a drain valve, which shall be opened regularly to drain the water and dirt deposited at the bottom of the oil separator.
3. There is a transparent oil level mirror beside the oil separator to show the height of the fuel level in the oil separator. The correct oil level is that when the air compressor works normally, the oil level is in the middle of the upper and lower degrees. If it is too high, it will run away, and if it is too low, it will affect the safety of the whole machine.
4. The oil separator belongs to the pressure vessel and must be produced by a professional manufacturer with manufacturing qualification. Each oil separating tank has a unique number and certificate.
